The Roadhouse Drive-in concept became popular in the early 40's in America and a few years later in South Africa. It has not stopped growing in popularity ever since.
The establishment, where the original Burger Box Roadhouse is today, began sixty years ago in Krugersdorp. It was a fast food store in the 50's and became a roadhouse in the 60's.
During the 1980's it took the name Burger Box and evolved into the business it is today.
With 3 branches now operating in Krugersdorp, Benoni, and Centurion. The Burger Box brand is spreading its wings and branching into Montana soon. Look out for new stores opening in the near future.
The Burger Box motto is, "Good Food and a Smile... That's Roadhouse Style", - great food, cooked on the premises in the original Roadhouse way, using the freshest ingredients of the highest quality. The Burger Box Roadhouse is the only concept that accommodates a variety of options where food consumption is concerned:

Customers can sit and eat in their parked vehicles in the traditional roadhouse manner

Can eat their meal on the premises, in the sit-down restaurant or outside in our lovely garden area

Food can also be ordered to go, and taken home safely packed in our specially designed take-out packaging. In order to save time customers can phone their order through to us in advance.
We aim to be the consumer's first choice for a meal and to keep on delivering products of outstanding quality by continually expanding our menu to include new foods that satisfy a variety of tastes. From breakfast to dinner and a wonderful selection in between - we are so much more than just a roadhouse - a whole dining experience - where all the family can relax and enjoy a delicious meal.
